KAWASAKI PSG-1 CORSE: LACONI NINTH, TAMADA THIRTEENTH
Today, Sunday 1st June, at Miller Motorsports Park track in Salt Lake City, it
has been a quite intense day for the Kawasaki PSG-1 Corse team. Regis Laconi crashed
in race 1 but it didn’ t compromise the team’s morale which succeeded in restoring
the ideal regulations on the fallen bike and gave to the French rider the possibility
to end race 2 among the first ten riders.
Makoto Tamada finished race 1 in 19th position but he raised the situation in
race 2 where he placed 13th.
Ayrton Badovini of Kawasaki Pedercini team can return home from the USA full of
satisfactions and with 4 more points in the championship.
Makoto Tamada
“ In race 1 we still hadn’t an ideal regulation to avoid the chattering and I’ve
been unable to achieve a good position. In race 2, after we adopted some new regulations
decided between race 1 and 2, I conquered the 12th position even after the bad
start I made. We have to work a lot to obtain a positive result in next round
in Germany. I want to thank my technicians, they have been perfect and worked
day and night to adapt all the variations decided in these last days”. |
