A DAY TO FORGET
Sure about its possibilities the Kawasaki PSG-1 Corse team remains astonished
in front of the unlucky events that conditioned the potentialities it demonstrated
during last days.
In race 1 Regis Laconi starts well but technical problems forces him to return
into the pit garage just after few laps from the beginning of the race. Good start
for Makoto Tamada too who next to the end of the race pushes too hard to gain
positions although the lack of grip on the front which betrays him and he crashes.
In race 2 the situation is similar but this time is Regis Laconi who crashes and
Makoto Tamada returns into the pit garage.
The sole satisfaction in Kawasaki comes from Ayrton Badovini of Kawasaki Pedercini
team who gains the 9th position in race 2.
Makoto Tamada
“ I became anxious in race 1 as I had just overpass Troy Corser but I still felt
him behind me and I tried to increase the detachment between us but I crashed.
In race 2 we filled up to the top the tank as we knew that the bike would need
all the fuel for these races on this track but it wasn't enough anyway. There's
nothing to say except that these things happens in this job even if you do everything
you have to, working with professionalism as the team does”. |
